Oh Holy Night

Oh Holy Night!
The stars are brightly shining.
It is the night of our Dear Savior's birth!
Long lay the world  in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices,
for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!
(Adolphe Adam, 1847)

Upon lighting the center candle
of our Advent wreaths tonight, praising the birth of Jesus,
the Light, our Lord and Savior...

...Our sweet angel will be watching over our tree.

And with great anticipation, all kids, and kids at heart,
'round the world will await Santa's arrival!

Don't forget to set out some hot cocoa
and cookies for Santa...

Hang up your stockings...

..and remember to say your prayers, of course,
and to wish Jesus a Happy Birthday.

Oh, how hard will it be to sleep tonight?!

We don't want Santa to pass us by!

Actually, after this past week,  for most of us,
I bet it won't be hard to fall asleep at all!

I leave you with these few last wishes...

The light of the Christmas star to you
The warmth of home and hearth to you
The cheer and good will of friends to you
The hope of a childlike heart to you
The joy of a thousand angels to you
The love of the Son and God's peace to you.

Wishing you and yours a blessed
and very Merry Christmas!
