Currently...

Coffee and my computer in front of me, a sweet, calming sound of rain coming from my window, and I find my way here, to share what I've been up to in some time since my last post.  Again, sorry it's been too long...

Dear Son and I recently went to The Aquarium!  Can you tell?

Well, not to go on about excuses, but simply, work got crazy for a while there, affecting my time for family, myself, and anything else at all... So I decided that while the money was nice, my quality of life was really taking a hard hit. Back to some kind of normalcy, once again, I am finding the time to read...

(Here's what I'm currently reading.)

I am finding the time for my arts and crafts again, thank God.  Artistic creativity is truly a therapeutic life-line for me.  It both drives me, and calms me, and it just plain makes me happy!  So, let me see... The latest projects I can share with you are as follows...

Going back to April, I crocheted this cute little blue bunny for my grandson, for Easter!..  He loved it!

I followed THIS WEBPAGE for the pattern.

Next, I LOVE the elephant bookends I made!...

(Trunks up mneans good luck!)

...inspired by THIS TUTORIAL.

Come May, and inspired by Cali Black, from the Facebook group, Dice & Deal, I got out my paints...

and created this page in my art journal!

Then, inspired by Ilene McInnes...

(Here I used coffee filters and paper doilies)

I pulled out a small, old fan, and tried my hand at spin-art!  Oh my gosh, I was like a kid, having so much fun with this, and wanting to make more and more!  I can use these in artwork and on journal pages!..   Based on my first experience, however, I do strongly suggest covering all surrounding objects and areas.  I would also suggest a smock, or old clothing!...  Yup, a VERY good idea.  Trust me on this!

Based on THIS TUTORIAL...

I made a hot glue stand/caddy for the desk that I craft on!

Come June, I made a bunch of these tags...

...inspired by Dawn, on THIS VIDEO.

Come around time for income tax refunds, I am happy to say that I was able to finally make a few good investments...  one of them being a decent car to drive in, and another was to have my sewing machine repaired!  Yay!!...  Inspired by Tina, at tellHimthanku...

I was able to sit at my sewing machine, and make my own fabric traveler's notebook!!  You can find THE TUTORIAL HERE.  I hope to journal many memories of the travels I've taken in my new car, long or short, by myself or with family and friends..   AND I look forward to making more creations with my sewing machine!  It's so nice to work with tools that work properly for you!

Which brings me to one last project, I most recently put together, here in my craft room!  You may remember my old craft room in a walk-in closet, but I have since upgtaded to an entire room..  Yes, a REAL ROOM!! Someday, I hope to share more of that with you; but in the meantime, here is a really nice little craft-organizer I just put together...

(Well, actually, it hangs at about 42 inches long.)

Inspired by Josie, in THIS VIDEO TUTORIAL, I'm so glad to get all my washi and various decorative tapes out of messy plastic bins, so that they all are organized and easy to find here!   Being organized cuts down on stress, and that's ALWAYS a good thing!  Am I right?!  This was a breeze to put together; and the cost was minimal, everything coming from a local dollar store!

So-oooo, I guess that about wraps things up for now.  I hope my latest endeavors will inspire you in one way or another! It's all been fun and many blessings for me!  Thanks so much for stopping by, and hope to see you again soon!
