More Snow?!

I got up this morning, looked out my window,
and much to my surprise...

...and slight disappointment
I see Old Man Winter isn't ready to leave just yet!

My gosh, and "Good Grief"!..  He sure can be stubborn, if he wants to be!..   As I look out at the road and sidewalks, I can't believe my eyes, and here we were so excited for Spring!  They say we're going to get at least another inch or so, and that we shouldn't even hope for warmer temps till at least some time next week!  (Sigh)...    But this should be no surprise, I guess, as it IS still only March.  Around my neck of the woods, not even Father Time can boss Old Man Winter around!  He's gonna come and go, just as he pleases; and he'll leave once and for all, when he's darn good and ready!

Well, we had a nice weekend, anyways, as I finally got to serve a nice St. Patrick's Day dinner with the kids!  We had corned beef and cabbage, made to perfection (if I may say, thanks to my crock pot!)...  I had fun adding a few extra "greens" to the menu.  Here's our table just before I began to set out all the fixin's...   You see the green cake towards the back of the table.

Here are some green corn muffins,

and green jello!

...and some green deviled eggs!
Did I get a little carried away?
I don't think so...  Everything was delicious!

What is my joy?  What gives me "abundance"?
Time with my family!  I am truly blessed, and grateful!

SNOW? But it's SPRING!

Love all the fun you had with the green but the eggs...well...the color is a little off putting. I'd eat them knowing it was for fun but otherwise I'd have been scared. lol

Thanks Lucy for stopping by.. I still do the
what is my joy...for myself...and I'm glad you've done it for you...that was the idea of the MEME...there were not many participants each week, so I figured people thought it boring and didn't want to play. The idea was to get ahold of the simple blessing you encounter and there you will find abudnance...so you have done that...you always have..Beautiful table settings Lucy...and green green green...not what you are seeing today...how did that miss me here in Oh? It was 57 earlier and has dropped to a more seasoanl temp..we are in no way out of potentioal snow here, until May....so I won't be surprsed if we get some snow too...we are all coming around the bend....Ethyl....

What a fabulous St. Patty's day table you set ... I'm certainly eyeing that cake! Here we are, day two of spring and we're like you, covered in snow. Most of the morning, just stopped but the sky doesn't look promising so not sure if more if coming. More candles to light! Have a wonderful day.

Snow? Really? I just can't relate. Down here, it's Spring. However, we are dealing with the dreaded yellow pollen which totally covers everything outside.
I would love to have snow, but just not in March. ;)

HI Leigh, I'm right there with you. We had snow again today...hubby was taking our daughter to the airport in San Diego and they barely got down our mountain before the snow got to them....It snowed like a blizzard the rest of the day!
Hey...I"m loving those green deviled eggs. I love that! You are one clever little gal! hahaha

Love the green! Ugh... winter won't give up here either! We have another few inches on the ground and temps in the 30's all week! Who do we write to complain about this? It is officially spring after all, ha!

Happy belated St Patricks Day, you had more green then we had in county Kerry!!!!
The image of the Easter bunny using Santas sleigh made me smile - hopefully all the snow will be gone soon.

I love all the green food! How festive! It's weird to hear you're still having snow when I sit here with my A/C on. Hope Spring comes soon for you!

I hate that you have more snow - saw it on the news there - it amazes me how some of us have spring and some of us are still having snow. Spring will come though.

I love your blog and I don't think you went to far out on St. Pat's Day. I think it was wonderful and your table scape.

I love your 'joys'.

The table looked so pretty. Yes, time with family is the best time and the children will cherish these memories as they grow up to become adults. I'm sure they must have been wide eyed to see all the green things coming out of the kitchen.
