WIP Wednesday

Well, I wish I could say something.. even ANYTHING was done for today, but the name of the game IS "Work In Progress Wednesday"!

The debut of this event, is hosted by Marie, whom you'll find over at her place, called Everday Crochet!

This past week I have been working on granny squares.. Lots and lots of granny squares. Some are for a very scrappy, "patchworky" type of afghan... possibly for the trunk of my car (ha! ha!) if I don't start liking it a little better than I do right now!! Not to lose hope entirely, though, I'll see what I can do, the further I go with it... Right?

Meanwhile, the green and white squares are going to be made into gifts for next Christmas! Some of my crocheting friends might recognize what these will be already. In fact I think one of you has already guessed! I hope to show these, completed and ready to pack away, in tomorrow's post!

Another weekly event I enjoy is Barbie Wednesday, hosted by Twyla and Lyndsey, at Two Crazy Crafters! For this week, I wanted to post two ornaments I got for Christmas. My brother and his wife gave me these! I love them both, but just look at the SHOES!!

Now, there is more to say about my Christmas ornaments this year.. but on that note, I recently received a beautiful package in the mail, and I would like to show and tell more about that too!.. So thanks for stopping by today, and I hope to see you then!

I love your squares Tina!! I have some works in progress. Number one is a blanket for the sweet chub-a-wub in my post. I am also going to whip her up a hat to match. Thanks so much for the comments all the time. I love hearing from you. That is awesome about grad school though!! But i bet you would love to be holding a little newborn. They are so sweet and smell so good!

Yep, it's still Barbie Wednesday! Thank you for sharing! I had a hard time deciding whether to do Barbie or Valentine but I decided to keep with our party theme.
I love your ornaments! I have that set of shoe boxes. Isn't it awesome!!! Hallmark created another show box set a couple years ago that I bet you could find on ebay.
Happy Barbie Wednesday, Lindsey

Your squares are gorgeous! I never liked squares, I could never get them to come out right. I finally mastered a few basic grannies and then realized I stink at putting them together.

I finally found a joining method I like, and I'll probably share that for next week's WIP Wednesday. Thanks for playing!

OOO, I love your squares..they're so pretty. I love making grannies, but am miserable when it comes to putting them together. I hate that part.. Love those sweet ornaments. They're just as sweet as can be.

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question. If you can't find the inks at your local scrapbook store then you can find them on ebay. Scrapbook Supply Outlet is a great ebay store where you can find the ink pads.

I've never mastered the art of granny squares. If you put your new creation in your trunk, you'll have the prettiest and coziest trunk I've ever seen. Good luck with your project. For Oreo pudding pie, just purchase an Oreo pie crust, 2 Oreo pudding mixes in small boxes like Jello, and Cool Whip. The directions are on the back of the pudding box. Easy Sleazy. Rosie

The afghan squares look like fun to make and then to create something with. I can imagine some day learning to do that.
I look forward to see what you make with the green and white squares.
My own creativity is channeled in to writing for publication and gardening, and the afghan squares are very appealing.
It is good to learn new things.

Just found you through another blog and I'm going to try and remember WIP wednesday for next week! I don't crochet much in the summer so I'm doing it again now! Don't know why I stop like that! LOL

Oh Tina sweetie...
You are a woman of many talents. I so wish I lived closer to you. Maybe crocheting would be easier than knitting. I so want to learn darnit. I am not doing very good. I am going to try some other forms of assistance this weekend. So far no luck.

I love the green and white. How very beautiful the squares are. So bright and happy looking. Now I love red, and I see no red in that pile of crocheting there. What's the deal?

Love ya girl. Country hugs...Sherry

Hi Beansie! Look at me, saying hello twice in one week. Wow: ) You are so ambitious and good. How do you find time for making stuff with all of the blogging you do? Good girl!

Take care, xJ

Now, I'm curious about the green and white grannies....I'll be back tomorrow to see! Thanks for visiting today for my first Vintage Thingy Thursday. Oh! you are so fortunate to have your Grandmothers Head Vases...I will be showing the rest of my collection.
