When I Wish For Apple Pie..

Hi diddle dee dee! Three apple pies for me!

My work is done! I spent much of this day grocery shopping, then cooking up a big batch of chili, AND 3 homemade apple pies! I've cleaned up the mess, and the dishes are washed! Now as the clock winds down for our first Magical Disney Sunday, it's time for some fun! Dear Son and I are gonna have some movie -n- snacks time, and we both can't wait to pull the ice cream out of the freezer to serve up with some warm, freshly baked apple pie!

Now that's what I remember when I was a kid. Every Sunday night we would go to my grandparents house. I remember a t.v. line-up of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, then a Walt Disney movie.. and then of course one of Grandpa's detective shows!.. I remember Mannix, Kojak, Columbo, Barnaby Jones, etc.! Grandpa would always get up and walk to the kitchen, and we kids just KNEW he was coming back out with sodas and snacks!.. Happy Memories!

Happy memories indeed!

Lovely pies! I've been in the baking mood myself. It starts around Autumn and doesn't stop till after New Year...baking, for me, is a seasonal activity, and it too instills many pleasant childhood memories.

Thanks for sharing - now, where's my pie? :-)

Oh my gosh, Tina! I so remember Sunday night dinners (mom would make either a roast dinner or spaghetti dinner) and we'd all sit down in front of the TV to Wild Kingdom, Walt Disney and Mannix or Kojak! Too funny!

I can't think of anything better than chili and apple pie with ice cream . . . yummy!

Thanks so much for sharing!

Blessings,
Teresa

P.S. Brian is drawing for the give-away tonight!

Those apple pies look so good, did you put any cloves in the apple, sometimes I do sometimes not. I like the flavour of cloves.
