I Remember That Day

..But I believe we are all God's children.. And I believe love will always prevail.. And I pray for peace on Earth.

Never to forget. We have an in-law in the buildings that collapsed, her tales of horror are deafening. Another in-law was in the air, his plane was landed within seconds in the middle of the USA. We had a friend that was sitting at a desk where the Pentagon was hit directly, who was severely burned & seen on TV running out of that hole ... God bless them all. Have a lovely weekend. Wow! Nothing like a little dose of reality to stir the memories. Very touching. Thank you for your tribute.

To Keri and Marydon.. I still cry just thinking about it or watching something about it on video. I remember soon after it happened I wanted to make a flag for my car antenna. One man, a co-worker, saw it, and wondered if I would make some for a club he was in.. (Lions/Elks.. I'm sorry I don't remember which) then he asked how much I might charge him for them. I said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I was only TOO HAPPY to be able to contribute in ANY way at that time. I made 50 car antenna flags that year, and was so proud to do so!

Beansie, I appreciate your loving tribute. I can't find the words to express the sadness our country and people have suffered and yet today with the horrible economy a different type of suffering. So sad. Xo Michelle

Hello sweet Tina, thanks for visiting the last few days, its been hectic juggling school, sewing, and the blog land, sorry for not responding sooner. I hope your evening and weekend goes well. I think you are a wonderfully sweet person, peace on earth should not be hard for us to achieve, if we all stood strong as one. Take care.

Blessings,
Heidi

Thanks for the reminder! We will NEVER forget. What a horrible, horrible day that was!

At the park where Gizzy and I frequently visit is a 911 Memorial Prayer Garden and I often sit there and read the memorial and think about the souls that were lost that day and the devistation it caused to so many lives and us Americans, as a whole!

God Bless America!

Hi Tina - thanks for visiting. I can quite see why you weren't in the mood for pink this week. We had a lot of TV coverage yesterday as well, and some very moving documentaries. What a terrible day that was - then in the middle of London we had the 7th July atrocity. So now we have Abdul Hamza and a load of hate-mongers in jail, and can't deport them because of the European Court of Human Rights thing - which never seems to be in support of the victims! On top of which, it's costing over £1,500 a week to support and house all his relatives... it's truly a crazy world.

I cry and pray really hard when this day arrives every year since that terrible day. Those who gave their lives, and those who survived are heroes in my book. God Bless The USA! xxoo

Hi Tina,
Did you watch the special on Fox News? They had some video and stories that I had never seen or heard before. I had that same sickening heart break as I did the day it happened. It was like it just happened again. Sometimes I do think we have moved away from that day and I think that is unfortunate.
