A Heap a Work To Be Done!

Darn tootin' there is! So all ya cotton-pickin', yella-bellied, ornery, dog-blasted, no account, fur-bearin', namby-pamby, dadburn, lilly-livered, double-crossin', rackin' frackin', sass-a-frassin' dust-bunny varmits best clear on out a here, or say yer prayers!

Great horny toads!.. I've been down with the cold-n-flu symptoms for several days here! While some of the symptoms persist, and I'm feeling much better than I did, I'm sure many Moms can just imagine the piles of dirty dishes and dirty laundry that are NOW screaming for my immediate attention! I have my work cut out for me, as I'll be baking some most-recently-requested chocolate chip cookies this morning.. THEN, for the majority of the day I'll be cleaning up, polishing up, and setting up for Dear Son's birthday tomorrow! I got some of the work done yesterday, but still have more to do today. We have a trip to the vet's and an appointment for a haircut tomorrow morning; so there won't be much time for anything more than last minute touches 'round the house.. And even THEN, I'll still have a cake to bake!

One thing's for sure! If I want ANY time for readin', crochetin'.. or even catchin' m' breath today, I better get-a goin'!

Oh Beansie! I will check tomorrow and see what kind of birthday celebration you post for the birthday boy. It is lots of fun having a blog, you can write about whatever you want. I love Yosemite Sam, this was a darling post. Please stop by today and say hi, I have posted something special today. Country Hugs, Sherry

i am so happy you feel better but it isn't fair that when we get sick nothing gets done and we don't get a break. men get sick and the world stops and they can't do anything for a month...lol.

Steady on old girl, or you'll be having a relapse! Do a bit, have a rest, do a bit more... We've got my best friend visiting (we've stayed in touch on & off since age 11) and she's divorced since our last meeting. Tomorrow, she's introducing The New Man! So the flat is getting the cleaning of its life.

Unfortunately, she chose just when I'm busiest! So I have to stash away this afternoon's delivery of cut book board (for my tutorials next week) plus all the paper etc I'd set out for cutting. Then I have to stash all the paperwork surrounding the computer (and on the floor) including the designs I'm supposed to be finishing by the weekend.

To top that off, I have a private client Sunday who's doing card making, metal embossing and ATCs. So she needs notes and samples.

I don't know where to start! So I'm doing the sensible thing, having a cup of tea, and reading blogs! (Maybe if I don't look, it'll all go away...)

To Caroline... Thanks! It won't be a huge party.. Just a small guest list.. But I'm hoping it turns out to be a nice birthday for Dear Son to remember! Honestly, I"ve been very busy, but I feel o.k. so far! I bet I'll sleep REALLY WELL tonight, though! (0;

Glad to hear you are getting better! I am over the worst but still have a sniffle. We went and saw Harry Potter for the 2nd time. I liked it better. I was more awake for one thing, heehe! Have fun with your boys party!

To Sherry... Well, it won't likely be a very big party, but I hope Dear Son will like it! He's put in his requests for favorite ice creams, and I know he'll like his gifts. I'm sure I'll post at least a little something about it all, most likely on Friday... And then WOW!! It will be Pink Saturday again already! Time certainly does FLY lately!

Well, I had one friend mad at me today, saying I should have made the kids do more, but they do help me a lot! I wasn't going to turn them into slaves now, just because I was sick!.. oh well.. The place is looking better.. Back to normal again, and I'm feeling happy enough about that! (0;

to Susie.. I hear you! I'm am taking a break right now. And I'm sure I should not stay up too late tonight, because tomorrow is going to be a full and busy day, right up to bedtime again!.. I'm thinking YOUR method of cleaning is sounding MUCH more fun than mine right now!! Well, once it's all done though, I do hope you'll have a very nice visit with your friends!.. and that Dear Son will hopefully have fun on this end! I'll try to take some good pictures!

To LillySue.. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it again! Tell me, though, did you jump out of your seat for that one part I spoke of??.. and then did you still jump the second time you saw it?! Just wondering! One thing I hope, for the last book (two movies), is that they just stick to the book as much as possible... AS IT'S WRITTEN! Otherwise, honestly, I still loved it! I could watch it again and again!.. I'm just waiting for the dvd now! I'll have to look into any word on that yet, if there is any.

Just stopping by to thank you for your visit a couple of weeks ago. You said you would be thrilled as a mom to receive the gift I made for the baby shower. I wanted to tell you that the mom to be was thrilled with it and with the card too. That made it all worth it. I enjoyed browsing your blog a bit. I was amazed at your purse collection. Great way you have of displaying it. I did notice the spider webs accumulating....ok I'll pretend I didn't see those. LOL! Also that purse made of a vinyl record. That is really cool. Did you make that one? And the doll on the shelf, I am pretty sure my daughter had a doll very similiar to that one. I may still have it! I will have to look. Thanks again for your visit to my blog.

To Neabear.. What a sharp eye you have! LOL!Yes, I noticed my little "special effect" in that photo about a WEEK after I posted it! I'm afraid I'm not very good at remembering to look UP to check for these things... but ya know? I'm glad you reminded me, cuz I've got company coming tomorrow! As for the purse set up, I have inspired a few people with that! The only thing is, I think I need to make a SECOND one just like it! I did make the record album purse! I did a post about it, for Earth Day!.. And as for the doll, I saved her from a garage/rummage sale of some sort, brought her home, and then crocheted her a new dress! She's one of my favorites!.. But I don't actually know what doll she was. If you figure it out, I'm curious now, so let me know! Thank you for stopping by!

Seems like your mind is also a tumble and rumble just thinking on what needs to be done. Don't exhaust yourself too much though. Well, tomorrow is a party. :-)
