Saturday Morning Coffee And Donuts

Recently I saw a project done by Yarnjeannie, HERE in Blogland, that looked like fun! She's whipping up a batch in all different colors and flavors! She certainly inspired me, and I must say, it's definitely not the first time! She does beautiful work on everything she makes!

Well, I've seen these crocheted donut pincushions before, but the timing was just right for me to try them out now. You see, I have to admit I really had nothing planned yet for my Pink Saturday post, and I did need to find something quick to either make, or just take a picture of. Lucky for me, these little baked goods were just what I needed! They are easy, and can be made in no time!.. So Thank you Yarnjeannie!

Actually, this is a great project for a beginning crocheter! If you're teaching someone to crochet, it doesn't always have to start with a potholder! A younger girl who is just learning might find this much more fun to make!.. And wouldn't this also be just adorable to add to a little girl's first sewing box?!

These are also a great scrap-eater type of project! It's so nice to be able to use up all the little leftover balls of yarn I accumulate for such a cute project like this! I plan to make a few more of these as Christmas gifts for some friends of mine who also sew! If you'd like to make a crochet donut pincushion, or maybe even "a baker's dozen" for friends, HERE is where you can find the pattern!

Be sure to visit Bev, HERE, and all the other Pink Saturday participants today! Enjoy your morning coffee, and Happy Pink Saturday!

Very nice, Beansie! You did a great job with these. Aren't they yummy? And so much fun to make! I gave my sister the four I had finished to take home with her. She will keep them until it's time for the church bazaar.

You took a very nice photo too!

Oh my goodness . . . I just love your donuts! They're awesome and look so pretty on your rose plate. I'm not that great a crocheter, but I definitely have to give them a try! Now that I've seen them I don't think I can live without them! LOL!!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving such nice comments! Yes, I know who Tasha Tudor was . . . she was a great gardener and the gardens she created are a source of inspiration!

Don't you just love Hyacinth?!! LOL!! I've created a 'Tea Cottage' in homage to her . . . I'm so excited that Marsha from 'Sassy Mini Dolls' is creating a doll for me and my long un-inhabited cottage! I have no doubt she'll have the 'sassy' attitude she displays on the show! LOL!!

I will definitely be back to visit . . . I need that pattern! LOL!!

Happy Pink Saturday!

I admit I'm not much of a crochet expert. I've done a few baby blankets with VERY forgiving yarn. It was just straight crochet, nothing fancy. My Nana can whip out anything, and does quite frequently! They are a cute idea, but then I don't sew either! I'm just lacking in all kinds of domestic diva skills, LOL! Happy Pink Saturday and have a loveleigh weekend!
